What are the overall grade boundaries for my course?

70+ Distinction

60-69 Merit

50-59 Pass

Below 50 Fail

 

The STEP Diploma can be awarded at Pass, Merit and Distinction level.

In order to achieve a Merit overall, you must achieve an average of 60% or more across the four papers, and to achieve a Distinction overall, you must achieve an average of 70% or more.

If you are exempt from one or two of the Diploma papers, then you may be awarded a Merit if you achieve an average of 60% or more across the two/three papers taken, or a Distinction if you achieve an average of 70% or more across the two/three papers taken.
